Henry Schein Acquires W. & J. Dunlop Ltd., A Leading U.K. Animal Health Products Supplier
MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 29, 2007--Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC), the largest provider of healthcare products and services to office-based practitioners in the combined North American and European markets, today announced that it has acquired W. & J. Dunlop Ltd. ("Dunlops"), a leading supplier of animal health products and services to veterinary clinics in the U.K. With this acquisition, Henry Schein will now serve dental, physician and animal health practitioners across the U.K. Henry Schein expects the acquisition to be neutral to 2007 EPS and $.01 to $.02 accretive to 2008 diluted EPS. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Dunlops' revenue was GBP 148.5 million (approximately $300 million) for the year ended September 30, 2006. Henry Schein believes there is opportunity for improving Dunlops operating margins over the next several years.
