Henry Schein Appoints Carole DeMayo Vice President, Global Human Resources

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 2005--Henry Schein, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSIC), the largest distributor of healthcare products and services to office-based practitioners in the combined North America and European markets, has appointed Carole DeMayo to Vice President, Global Human Resources. Ms. DeMayo will report to Gerry Benjamin, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Henry Schein.

A 25-year veteran of human resources service delivery and organizational effectiveness, Ms. DeMayo was most recently Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources at Symbol Technologies, a $1.5 billion global technology manufacturer of enterprise solutions.
