Henry Schein Medical to Exhibit at 49th Annual SGNA Course

05/18/22

Company’s Booth to Feature POM, Micro-Tech, and HealthFirst Products and Solutions That Help Gastrointestinal Professionals Deliver Quality Patient Care and Outcomes

MELVILLE, N.Y., May 18, 2022 – Henry Schein Medical, the U.S. medical business of Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC), today announced its presence at the 49th Annual Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Course in Salt Lake City, Utah, from May 22 through May 24. Visitors at Henry Schein Medical’s booth #223 can receive product demonstrations, learn about the Company’s comprehensive portfolio of gastrointestinal (GI) products, services, and solutions, including POM®, Micro-Tech, and HealthFirst®, and meet with Henry Schein Surgical Solutions Specialists, who exclusively serve the Ambulatory Surgery Center & Oral Maxillofacial Surgery markets.

Visitors to Henry Schein’s booth will have the opportunity to explore the benefits of the Procedural Oxygen Mask (POM), a multi-port capnography endoscopy mask that allows scopes, probes, and tubes to be inserted through the mask and enter the nose or mouth while maintaining a high percentage of oxygen delivered to the patient. The mask helps maximize oxygen delivery, end-tidal capnography monitoring, and barrier protection for increased patient safety during upper endoscopies. Click here for an episode of #ScheinChats, Henry Schein’s social media series that features discussions between Team Schein Members and key thought leaders, where Dr. Rene Gonzalez, a board-certified anesthesiologist with 35 years of clinical experience in academic and community anesthesia practice, discusses best practices for patient and staff safety during upper endoscopies.

Additionally, attendees can learn about Micro-Tech’s GI endoscopy accessories and devices. Micro-Tech’s product offerings include biopsy forceps, snares, clips, injection needles, dilation balloons, and various accessories for GI procedures such as poly traps, bite blocks, and bedside kits.

“At Henry Schein, we are committed to providing GI professionals with tools and resources to efficiently run their practice while delivering quality patient care and outcomes,” said Scott Jackson, Vice President, Surgical Solutions, Henry Schein Medical. “We are excited to be at SGNA with our partners POM, Micro-Tech, and HealthFirst and showcase our network of products, services, and solutions that help support the unique needs both of patients and GI practices.”

The Henry Schein Medical booth will also feature the HealthFirst ActivePure® line of air purification solutions, which are designed to create protective molecules that help reduce airborne pathogens while continuously purifying the air. Henry Schein and HealthFirst will provide demonstrations of the ActivePure Medical Guardian, a Class II Medical Device with a patented technology that pairs proactive molecule creation with ionization and high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration. The ActivePure Medical Guardian utilizes the patented ActivePure technology that produces and propels oxidizing molecules into occupied indoor spaces for continuous reduction of a broad spectrum of pathogens, as tested.

Henry Schein and HealthFirst representatives will be available to discuss the HealthFirst Crash Cart Auto-Replenishment Program as well, an auto replenishment service that helps ensure crash cart-enrolled emergency medications are tracked and automatically replaced just prior to expiration. Included with the service is OnTraq, an online compliance and account management tool that allows health care professionals to view or print each cart's medications, expiration dates, lot numbers, national drug backorder status, and upcoming medication replenishment shipments.
