Henry Schein Medical Systems Earns ONC Health IT Cures Update Certification for its MicroMD Software
MELVILLE, NY March 6, 2023—Henry Schein Medical Systems, Inc., developer of MicroMD®, Henry Schein’s practice management and electronic health record (EHR) software for medical practices, has achieved Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-Health IT) 2015 Edition Cures Update Health IT certification via Drummond Group LLC, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB).
The certification designates that MicroMD EMR delivers the required functionality that is needed to enable eligible providers to successfully participate in quality programs requiring certified EHR technology. This includes the latest interoperability standards needed to support compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act information-sharing requirements. According to the FDA, the Cures Act was designed to help accelerate medical product development and bring new innovations and advances to patients who need them faster and more efficiently.
