Companies to Display a Wide Range of Solutions That Help First Responders Continue Serving Their Communities; North American Rescue to Unveil Its Enhanced ARS® Decompression Needle
MELVILLE, N.Y., September 15, 2023 – Henry Schein Medical, the U.S. medical business of Henry Schein, Inc. From September 18 through September 22 in New Orleans, the Henry Schein Medical EMS booth (#1439) will feature a display of the Company’s EMS products and solutions, which serve both EMS agencies and community paramedicine. The Henry Schein Medical EMS team will be available to speak about the Company’s mobile integrated health care and lab capabilities, including point-of-care testing. Additionally during the Meeting, North American Rescue, will introduce its new Enhanced ARS® (Air Release System) Decompression needle at booth #1429.
During the Conference, members of the Henry Schein Medical EMS team, along with representatives from Ansell, Butterfly, ByoPlanet, First Res, GE HealthCare, Irrimax Corporation, Laerdal, MADA Medical Products, Inc., Masimo, Siemens, Statpacks, VendNovation, Vomex, and 3M, will be available to answer questions and suggest customized solutions. Visitors can learn about Henry Schein Medical EMS’ point-of-care testing options, helping EMS professionals retrieve the timely results needed for effective decision-making while in the field.
Various product demonstrations will be available during the Meeting, including the Butterfly portable ultrasound, ByoPlanet Jet H2 Ultra™ portable disinfecting spraying device, GE HealthCare Vscan Air™ ultrasound, Masimo Rad-57® Pulse CO-Oximeter®, Monitor by Laerdal, an integrated defibrillation, patient monitoring, and ventilator management training tool, First Res Patient Assist Lift Strap, Siemens epoc® Blood Analysis System, and VendNovation, an inventory control vending solution.
The Henry Schein Medical EMS booth will also feature products such as Ansell’s Microflex® exam gloves and Ringers® extrication gloves, Irrimax Corporation’s Irrisept® Antimicrobial Wound Lavage, First Res Jack Strap for Rapid Intervention, First Res Patient Assist Lift Strap, Lighthouse Worldwide Solutions’ N95 respirators, MADA Medical Products, Inc.’s oxygen regulators, Statpacks’ G3 and G4 trauma bag offerings, Vomex Emesis bags, and the 3M™ Littmann® CORE Digital Stethoscope.

Enhanced ARS® (Air Release System) Decompression Needle to be Unveiled
North American Rescue will be launching its Enhanced ARS™ (Air Release System) Decompression needle, which incorporates new features that are designed to help improve the safety, efficacy, and speed of needle chest decompression for the treatment of tension pneumothorax. Building on the success of the ARS® needles, the Enhanced ARS® boasts a sharpened needle tip for scalpel-like insertion, three fenestrations in the catheter for faster air pressure release, and, to help prevent the incident of occlusion, centimeter markings to help enable precise insertion depth control.
Additionally, North American Rescue will showcase its line of ballistic personal protective equipment (PPE) designed with the range of motion and maximum coverage needed by professional medical responders. Other display items will include the TCCC MAN® trauma simulator, the Quantum® IV Fluid and Blood Warming System, the C-A-T® , and other solutions for first responders.
