Henry Schein Announces 2-for-1 Stock Split

MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 2005--Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC), the largest distributor of healthcare products and services to office-based practitioners in the combined North American and European markets, today announced that the Company's Board of Directors has authorized a 2-for-1 stock split, in the form of a 100% stock dividend, payable on or about February 28, 2005, to shareholders of record as of February 15, 2005. The split is the company's first since becoming a publicly-traded company in November 1995, and will increase the total number of shares of common stock outstanding to approximately 86,600,000 million.
