Dentrix Introduces DXONE At University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine
MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 2001--
DXONE Enterprise System Delivers Superior Practice Management,
Enhances Patient Treatment
Dentrix Dental Systems, Inc. has introduced DXONE, its enterprise practice management software, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (SDM). Dentrix Dental Systems is a division of Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC), the largest provider of healthcare supplies to office-based practitioners in the combined North American and European markets.
Offering the same features as the Company's highly acclaimed DENTRX(R) practice management software, DXONE is designed to electronically link multi-location dental practices and organizations so that patient and practice information can be easily accessed from any workstation. For use throughout the University's SDM clinics, the system will help manage patient treatment plans more effectively, improve clinic operations and allow for future advancements in technology.
DENTRIX software offers practitioners a totally integrated system for managing their office operations. The system combines clinical and accounting functions with digital technologies, including intra-oral photography, digital x-ray, blood pressure monitoring and cosmetic dentistry.
"Dentrix pioneered dental practice management software more than 12 years ago, and we continue to look for ways to streamline practice management with our unique technology," said Kimball Wirig, President of Henry Schein's Practice Management Technologies Group. "Over 17,000 DENTRIX systems have been installed and are helping practitioners improve their office workflow, creating greater efficiencies and a healthier bottom line. DXONE delivers the same benefits to larger dental institutions."
According to Dan Shapiro, Director of Information Services for the SDM, "For the past two years, DENTRIX has enabled us to fully convert to an electronic scheduling system." Now with DXONE, our objective is to leverage the latest diagnostic and practice management tools such as digital radiographs and paperless charts, as well as to accommodate emerging technologies that will help us better manage our clinics and patient care."
In addition to SDM, the DXONE system is successfully operating at many other dental organizations, including schools, private dental practices, hospital-based dental clinics and community health centers. Additional information about DXONE is available at www.dxone.com.
