Henry Schein Donates 4,000 Welcome Kits To Guests Staying At American Cancer Society Hope Lodge Facilities

MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC) today announced that it has donated 4,000 Welcome Kits to people residing in American Cancer SocietyHope Lodge facilities while they receive cancer treatment far from their homes.

Henry Schein, Inc. today announced that it has donated 4,000 Welcome Kits to people residing in American Cancer Society Hope Lodge facilities while they receive cancer treatment far from their homes. The company’s donation, conducted with the support of 20 of Henry Schein’s supplier partners, is an initiative of Henry Schein Cares, the company’s global corporate social responsibility program.

Hope Lodge provides free temporary housing services in locations across the U.S. for people with cancer and their loved ones. Each welcome kit contains personal hygiene products and related items, including toothbrushes and toothpaste, hand sanitizer, skin cream, tissues, mouthwash, and a personal journal. The company's donation, conducted with the support of 20 of Henry Schein's supplier partners, is an initiative of Henry Schein Cares, the company's global corporate social responsibility program.

Henry Schein has provided Welcome Kits to Hope Lodge facilities for nine consecutive years. This year's donation is an increase of 1,000 kits from last year's contribution and brings the company's nine-year total donation to 17,500 kits. Hope Lodge will distribute the kits to people staying in 30 facilities throughout the year.
